Old ammunition found in bears
Two polar bears killed last summer were both shot with a shotgun earlier.
Shotgun ammunition is found inside a female bear shot and killed last year at Austfjordnes. The 20-year-old bear was killed when one of the men at the trapper station intended to scare her, but fired a shotgun shell instead of a rubber bullet. The man was fined 20,000 kroner. An autopsy revealed the bear had previously been hit by shotgun ammunition.
