Rema 1000 to be built
The grocery chain wants to open a store in Longyearbyen in the parking lot in front of Svalbardbutikken.
A sketch sent by Rema Etablering Nord AS to the Longyearbyen Community Council shows the company wants to build a grocery store in the area between Lompensenteret and the 78 Nord sports shop (shown in orange), in front of Coop's Svalbardbardbutikken.
